8 Reasons I’m a Christian

1. I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist…

The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom…

2. Forgiveness – I don’t know of any other way
to get forgiven, and I need a regular session of
forgiveness
I am a spectacularly imperfect person, and a repeat
offender.

3. The hope of becoming something other than
what I would have become left to my own
devices.
With God’s help, I can change!

4. Experiences in – Prayer, Worship, Holy Spirit
activity, (love, healing, direction, assurance)

Makes it real. A person with an experience is never at
the mercy of a person with an argument.

5. Help through the many crisis’ in life…Word of
God, Holy Spirit

Hell breaks loose. Stuff happens. I need a way to
interpret these events when they visit.

6. Discover and clarify who I am so I can become
that person, and serve God with what I have
discovered.

Gifts, Talents, Temperment

7. Good people – Surrounded by people who
sincerely care about what happens to me, can
speak into my life, love me through anything…

8. Eternal life promise – Heaven

I am delighted about a place prepared for me by my
Father, and a book there with my name written in it,
where treasures have been stored up on my behalf,
where I get a new body that won’t wear out, where
I’ll be reunited with loved ones, where I’ll live in the
unfiltered presence of God.
